مجلة عرب أسترالياـ أصوات جديدة تنضم إلى المجلس الاستشاري في Multicultural NSW

رحّبت Multicultural NSW بصوتين جديدين في مجلس Multicultural NSW الاستشاري وأعادت تعيين عضوين حاليين.
فقد أعيد تعيين Simon Chan و Sonia Gandhi في المجلس الاستشاري، إلى جانب العضوين الجديدين Elfa Moraitakis وJanice Rodrigues، اللتين ستنضمان كعضوين للشباب.
السيد Chan هو رئيس المنتدى الأسترالي الصيني والرئيس السابق المباشر لغرفة تجارة هايماركت. وهو يشارك في العديد من المنظمات الفنية والمجتمعية.
أما السيدة Gandhi فهي مؤسِسة مؤسَسةٍ ناجحة للتسويق والمناسبات تتعامل مع الأمم الأولى والمجموعات متعددة الثقافات.
والسيدة Moraitakis هي الرئيسة التنفيذية لمؤسسة الخدمات متعددة الثقافات في غرب سيدني، وهي مؤسسسة رائدة في قضايا التنوع الثقافي تستجيب لاحتياجات وفرص المجتمع في جميع أنحاء غرب سيدني وأجزاء من الغرب الداخلي.
والسيدة Rodrigues هي أخصائية في قضايا الشباب لدى مؤسسة رائدة غير ربحية تعمل مع الشباب اللاجئين والمهاجرين الوافدين حديثًا.
يقوم مجلس Multicultural NSW الاستشاري، الذي يرأسه Nick Kaldas APM، بإسداء المشورة والتوجيه بشأن مجموعة من الأمور المتعلقة بالمجتمعات المتنوعة ثقافيًا ولغويًا.
وقال Nick Kaldas APM، رئيس مجلس Multicultural NSW الاستشاري:
“إننا ملتزمون بضمان سماع آراء جميع الناس في كافة أنحاء نيو ساوث ويلز والأمور التي تقلقهم في عمليات صنع القرارات الحكومية. وتوسيع التمثيل يعني المزيد من التنوع، وهذا ما يجعل نيو ساوث ويلز ولاية ناجحة متعددة الثقافات.”
وقال Joseph La Posta، رئيس Multicultural NSW التنفيذي:
“سيعمل أعضاء المجلس الاستشاري، الجديدتان منهم والعائدان، وأعضاء الشباب على تعزيز أصوات المجتمعات المتنوعة في كل أقسام الحكومة. وسيكون شغف هؤلاء الأعضاء بمجتمعاتهم مفيدًا للغاية لضمان تمتع الأجيال القادمة بالنسيج الاجتماعي الغني لولايتنا العظيمة.”
“نوجّه شكرنا للـ 250 شخصًا من جميع أنحاء نيو ساوث ويلز الذين عبروا عن اهتمامهم بالانضمام إلى مجلس Multicultural NSW الاستشاري .”

New voices join Multicultural NSW Advisory Board

Multicultural NSW has welcomed two new voices to the Multicultural NSW Advisory Board and reappointed two current members.
Simon Chan and Sonia Gandhi have been reappointed to the Advisory Board, along with new members Elfa Moraitakis and Janice Rodrigues, who will join as a youth member.
Mr. Chan is the President of Chinese Australian Forum and Immediate Past President of Haymarket Chamber of Commerce and is involved in numerous arts and community organisations.
Ms Gandhi is the founder of a successful marketing and events enterprise that engages with First Nations and multicultural groups.
Ms Moraitakis is the CEO of SydWest Multicultural Services, a leading organisation for cultural diversity issues, responding to community needs and opportunities throughout Western Sydney and parts of the Inner West.
Ms Rodrigues is a youth caseworker for a leading not-for-profit organisation working with newly arrived refugee and migrant youth.
Chaired by Nick Kaldas APM, the Multicultural NSW Advisory Board provides advice and guidance on a range of matters relating to culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Multicultural NSW Advisory Board Chair Nick Kaldas APM said:
“We are committed to ensuring the views and concerns of all people across NSW are heard in government decision-making processes. Greater representation means greater diversity and that is what makes NSW such a successful multicultural state.”
Multicultural NSW Chief Executive Joseph La Posta said:
“These new and returning Advisory Board members and youth member will amplify the voices of diverse communities across government. The passion for their communities will be enormously beneficial to ensuring future generations can enjoy the rich social fabric of our great state.”
